Introduction:

  • We have multiple openings for software developers, with expertise in Domain 2.0 network engineering, cloud computing, software defined networking, and network functions virtualization in large scale telecommunications network environments. Our team works onsite in Middletown NJ in an advanced technology development and qualification R&D labs setting.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Preferred Masters of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience

  Experience Requirements:

  • The candidate should have demonstrated software development expertise in Software Defined Networking (SDN), cloud computing, and network functions virtualization across one or more relevant domains (compute, storage, and overlay and underlay L2/L3 IP networking techniques, software-defined networking orchestration and virtual functions, platform architecture, design and development, micro-services and containers).
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and leadership skills in order to partner with Domain 2.0 Platform teams spanning leadership, architecture and design, delivery, security and testing as well as open source and other industry communities.
  • Experience with software development and packaging using CHEF/SWM is highly desirable.

 Description of Work:

  • Responsible for end-to-end systems integration Domain 2.0 (D2) initiatives and translating the core architecture for the D2 initiatives (ECOMP platform, BU services and VNF multipliers) into final, cross-domain, integrated detailed design through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques. This is a hands-on role that ultimately results in the delivery of an application or service by coordinating design, specification, and integration of total systems and subsystems across multiple domains including ECOMP, AIC, OSS/BSS, security, and operations teams.
  • Designs, develops, documents and analyzes cloud compute, storage, and network requirements and design including SDN specific overlay and underlay L2/L3 IP networking, maximizing reuse of target state platforms such as API, data fabric, data routers and cloud (AIC) platforms.
  • Assesses (proof of concept) and recommends solutions (algorithms and products) to improve the D2 program to ensure continuous evolution to meet our client’s technical innovation needs for the future.
  • Analyzes and participates in open source communities related to ONAP, cloud technology, SDN, and general computing and networking in order to both gain knowledge and influence industry direction.
