Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or any combination of university education and/or experience.

Experience Requirements:

• 3 years experience in electrical engineering or project administration for major capital design/construction
• Knowledge of all phases of project management
• Ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel
• Supervision skills: ability to assign, distribute work and follow up with employees
• Project management skills

Special Skills:

• Project management experience or certification
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel. CADD experience is desirable. 

Description of Work:

• Assist Resident Engineer in various capitally funded contracts in the Systems & Security Program to meet program goals.
• Ensure and enforce adherence to quality assurance and quality control.
• Facilitate, review receipt disposition of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, Safe Work Plans, and Quality Work Plans.
• Verify Contractors’ monthly payments.
• Assist Resident Engineer in the preparation of AWOs.
• Attend progress meetings.
• Schedule and coordinate field visits, surveys, inspections, and support services.
• Draft letters, memos, and other written project-related correspondence.
