Introduction:

The User Experience Designer will be an integral part of the Wireless Device Marketing UX Strategy & Design team. The UX Designer will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of engaging and intuitive user experiences/interfaces for web and mobile applications & solutions for wireless customers. This designer possesses excellent visual and UI/UX design skills, with a high-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite among other visual creation tools. You will work with business members, technology partners, manufacturers, analysts, and visual designers to develop and incorporate our client’s brand device experience.  The UX Designer will have a proven track record in user-centered design methodology and techniques.

In this role, you will develop and design interaction models, user task flows, and user interfaces; communicate user scenarios, end-to-end experiences and screen designs to stakeholders; and create customer journey maps, web-based product and service activation experiences, mobile companion apps, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders/managers to identify and define business and technical requirements.
• Assist in the translation of high-level business requirements into designs such as functional user flows, wireframes, prototypes and user interfaces.
• Ensure that designs are created and successfully implemented to achieve business and end user goals.
• Create concepts using professional design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to rapidly work through ideation.
• Create site maps, flows, wireframes, prototypes and design specifications; analyzes usability test results; and develop user experience design briefs.
• Work with creative and visual leads to co-evolve user experience solutions through an iterative design process.
• Work with technical leads to understand front/back end systems and constraints so that design solutions are technically feasible and optimal.
• Provide information to support interaction design prioritization and tradeoff decisions.
• Advocate the implementation of UI guidelines, standards and requirements that serve as the foundation for designing cohesive experiences.
• Connect the dots between business requirements, innovation, analytics, and good design through visual representation of ideas.

Experience & Knowledge/Skills

• 5+ years directly-related web design, UX Design, Front-end mobile-web development or interaction design experience; understanding of visual/graphic design principles a plus.
• Experience with responsive web/mobile design.
• Strong technical proficiency with UX tools such as Axure, Balsamiq, Camtasia, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong work portfolio that demonstrates creative design thinking and a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices.
• Proven success in designing for large, and/or scalable customer experiences.
• The ability to scope projects accurately, prioritize tasks and goals independently and rapidly produce deliverables in a fast-paced iterative environment.
• Experience with multiple design approaches including but not limited to responsive design, mobile first, and data driven design.
• A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design (Graphic, Interaction, Visual, and Digital), Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information architecture, or related UX field.
• Advanced degree in Interaction Design, Visual/Graphic Design, Fine Arts highly desirable.
