This is a full-time (40 hrs per week) onsite position (not remote)


  • Our team seeks a Network Engineer with hands-on network engineering experience setting up, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting network equipment/platforms and OSs (Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Nokia desirable) and network servers.

Description of Work:

  • Knowledge and experience on advanced IP/MPLS networks
  • Hands-on experience (2-years or more) on Cisco IOS, IOSXR (ASR-9010 and NCS-5001 would be a plus), Juniper OS, Ciena
  • Hands-on exposure or experience to Nokia OS (desirable)
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge on UNIX OS – build a server, configure a server, run simple jobs with scripts
  • Routing Protocol knowledge: Thorough knowledge on OSPF, OSPFv3, BGP, MPLS, Multicast (MPLS and Multicast is a plus)
  • Knowledge on IXIA, Spirent traffic generators
  • Experience in troubleshooting L2 and L3 networks
  • TCL and Python scripting are not required but highly desirable
  • Set-up and maintain systems in a network lab environment, run required cabling, install router line cards
  • Experience in service provider environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to analyze, isolate and resolve network issues
  • Good understanding and working/troubleshooting skills on TCP/UDP
  • Thorough understanding of QOS
  • Should be able to document, communicate network related problems and solutions


  • BSEE (MSEE preferred) degree, or degree in equivalent network engineering related domain, or equivalent experience
  • Quick learner with hands-on networking skills
  • Experience with network design, router configuration and troubleshooting, and test plan development and execution with Cisco routers/IOS; and IOS-XR network operating systems (ASR-9010 and NCS-5001 desirable)
  • Also desirable – experience with Juniper OS, Ciena, Nokia OS
  • Cisco certifications desirable (CCNP preferred)
  • Experience in router configuration development, apply configuration to routers, and troubleshoot and correct router configuration issues – work independently in setting up router and testing router configuration to validate design
  • Experience in router network test plan development and execution – ability to understand routing design requirements and develop test cases to validate the design
  • Documentation and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team as well as ability to work independently
